Mineralogy:
The main mineral in HellvikSplitt is a calcisodium-felspar located between the neighbouring minerals andesin and labrador, and is thus perceived as a labradorite. This kind of rock is a gabbro, as well as a very light plagioclasite (anortosite).

Originally this mineral was light grey and extremely hard, but after a partial metmorphosis the we have today is whiter and tougher. The ratio between the modified and the original plagioclasite is roughly 50 : 50.
